Varsity Wrestling Update

The varsity wrestling team opened the season at the Hampton Duals this weekend. The Foxes defeated the Moon Tigers and the Baldwin Highlanders on Friday evening.
On Saturday, the Foxes outscored Langley before earning a come-from-behind victory over Mt. Lebanon.
The team then defeated Carlynton to earn a spot in the Finals.
The Foxes suffered their first loss of the season to a strong Hampton team to finish as Runner-Up in the event.

The 5-1 dual meet record is a great beginning for the young team.

The upcoming schedule is:
The Foxes will practice on Monday and Tuesday from 2:45-5 pm.

The first home match of the year pits the Foxes against Mars at 7 pm on Wednesday, 12/14.
The Foxes will practice on Thursday 2:25-5 pm (and help keep score at the first Elementary Match on Thursday evening beginning at 6:15 pm).

The Foxes will have an off-day on Friday (12/16).

Saturday's practice (12/17) is scheduled for 9-11 am.
On Sunday (12/18), we will practice from noon to 1:30 pm because of the Monday (12/19) match at Knoch.

We will have practice on Tuesday (12/20), Wednesday (12/21) and Thursday (12/22) from 2:45-5 pm.

The varsity will not practice on December 23, 24 and 25. They will return to the practice room on December 26 to prepare for the West Mifflin Tournament that week.

Seven of the fourteen Allegheny County Tournament weight classes have sponsors. So we still have seven weight class sponsorships available. If you know a business owner that might be interested in sponsorship, please contact me and I will send them the
information.

We hope to see you at an upcoming event. Stay warm and have a great holiday.
