Sections Update - This Week's Schedule

The Fox Chapel varsity wrestled well this weekend qualifying five athletes for the WPIAL Championships.
Freshman Corey Mahon (135) ----5th place
Sophomores Jared Rice (103) ---4th place and Artie Newman (140) --- 5th place
and Juniors Anthony Brooks (189) -- runner-up and Adam Bisnowaty (285) ----3rd place
will compete at Canon-Mac with the action beginning Thursday.

The tournament at FC was a great success. We heard many compliments from fans, wrestlers, coaches and referees during the tournament. All of us---parents, wrestlers, volunteers and coaches deserve a pat on the back. Another outstanding effort.

The entire varsity will take a team picture and practice tomorrow.
Those athletes finished for the season will turn in their equipment tomorrow.
The WPIAL qualifiers will practice at Hampton on Tuesday.

Two other notes...
Dave DiBenedetto (2010) finished his season with a 3rd place finish in Washington and Jefferson's Midwest Regional conference tournament yesterday. Dave finished his freshman season with a team-leading 24 wins.
Patrick Frank (1998) was selected to referee the WPIAL Championships and the PIAA Tournament in Hershey. He is one of three referees in the WPIAL to be chosen this year to work the PIAA Championships.
